CHARLOTTA

If down my chin beads roll
Wait not for me to fool
Sweat it is I may claim
But just know it’s all because I bemoan
Charlotta's fracturing departure

Long gone are the happy days
Of merry laughter and plays
And now on the sky the sun seems to delay
And the once so sparkly stars seem to fade
Ushering in the since forgotten chill of the night

On a slip I grasp, like seaweed to an armature
Faint it may but let go I wont
A connection it is to my fair Carlota miles away
A tunnel of renewal to my so sapped energy
As the days drag by to the date so divine

Under lock and key my heart I keep
With blinds drawn least I take a peep
To the moments I hold for soon back soon she will be
And again the stars will light and the sun warm
Our play ground, yes, and witness they will
Our laughter and joy carry on yonder
